Cialis is a brand name of tadalafil, a prescription drug in Australia used by men to treat erectile dysfunction (ED). Tadalafil has been approved to treat signs and symptoms of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), or prostate enlargement. Originally, Cialis was developed as a heart medicine by a company called Glaxo Wellcome, which is currently known as GlaxosmithKline, in 1991, when another drug company called Pfizer discovered that sildenafil, an enzyme inhibitor, caused erections in men taking part in the study.
